Elk Flats Trailhead

Elk Flats Trailhead is a popular access route into the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. It provides access to Elk Flats Trail #3241 which winds down to the Wenaha River.

There is a large parking area at the trailhead with a spring fed small creek available for watering stock.

Current Conditions
Forest trails are not maintained and typically not accessible from late fall through late spring due to snow. Please call the local Ranger District Office for up-to-date information.

Wilderness restrictions apply. Weed free feed is required on the Umatilla National Forest

Directions

From Troy, Oregon, take Troy Road south for a .5 mile and then continue on Eden Lane for 2.2 miles. Turn right on Jubilee Road and follow for 2 miles.  Forest Service Road 62 west for about 21 miles to the Forest Service Road 290. Turn right on Forest Road 290 and follow to the end.

From Tollgate, OR, follow Forest Service Road 64 for about 13 miles. Take Forest Service Road 6413 for about 15 miles where it intersects with Forest Service Road 62. Turn left along Forest Service Road 62 for 4.25 miles to Elk Flat. Turn left on Forest Road 290 and follow to the end.
