Lane Creek Campground
Lane Creek Campground is set among open, large, Ponderosa pine. It features 7 campsites and an accessible toilet. There is no potable water or garbage service, so please pack your garbage home. This campground offers hunting and photo opportunities. It is also near the Bear Wallow Interpretive Trail, a 1/4-mile trail that interprets the lifecycle of steelhead fish.
General Information
The campground is not maintained but is still available throughout the winter. Access will be snowmobiles only once the road is inaccessible due to snow. Please contact the North Fork John Day Ranger District for more information.
Late May - November
The campground is closed only by snow. However, it is only maintained seasonally from Memorial Day until mid-November.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $8 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per night
Group Site: $25 per night
- Single site: $8/night (extra $5 fee per vehicle exceeding the two-vehicle-per-site allowance.)
- Group site: Site 3 is $25/night (no extra vehicle charge).
Campground fees will be charged through November 15.
