General Information

There are two types of entry permits required between June 15 and October 15 for entering the Three Sisters Wilderness from this trailhead.
  • Overnight Use
  • Day Use
    • Free, self-issue Wilderness Permit (available at the trailhead) between June 15 and October 15.

Getting There

Directions

From Oakridge, OR, travel east on Highway 58, for 23 miles to Forest Road 5897 (Waldo Lake Road). Turn left and follow Forest Road 5897 for 11 miles to Forest Road 5898, which leads to North Waldo Campground and Islet Campground. Continue left (main paved road) on Forest Road 5898 and drive toward North Waldo Campground and turn right onto Forest Road 5898-514 (Taylor Burn Road). Follow Forest Road 514 for approximately 4 miles to the trailhead, which is located on the right side of the road.
