Salmon Creek Falls Day Use Area
Salmon Creek Falls Day Use Area is located within the Salmon Creek Falls Campground, a beautiful, lush, old growth forest right along Salmon Creek.
The rocky gorge-like area creates two small beautiful waterfalls and several deep pools which reflect the clear blue-green waters. Springtime brings a full range of wildflowers along the rocky banks as well as in the woods and meadows. Wild thimbleberries and hazelnuts abound in the summer. In the years past,
Salmon Creek supplied water for the City of Oakridge. The remains of some old wooden, wire-wrapped water pipes can still be seen. Today, the area is a favorite recreation spot for local residents as well as some more distant travelers.
