Huckleberry Lake Trail #3573

This trail provides an easy hike to very pretty little lake.

The trail passes through a forest with a heavy understory of rhododendron, which provides a nice spring trip when in bloom.

General Information

A long drive, but worth the trip and a visit to Huckleberry Lookout is recommended when in the area. Be sure to camp 200 or more feet from the shoreline.

Getting There

Directions

From the traffic signal in Oakridge, Oregon turn onto Crestview and continue over the overpass and make a right at the next intersection (East 1st Street).  

Travel east on East 1st Street and turn left on Oak Street.  Go one block and turn right onto East 2nd Street and travel to the junction of Westoak Road and High Prairie Road.  Bear right onto High Prairie Road and travel approximately 8 miles to the end of the pavement.  

Proceed 1 more mile to Forest Road 1931 and turn right.

Proceed approximately 6 miles to Forest Road 1931-720, turn right onto Forest Road 720 and proceed approximately 4 miles to the 725 spur, turn right and drive almost 1.5 miles to the trailhead, which is located on the left side of the road.
