Minto Pass Trail #3437

From the Marion Lake, Lake of the Woods junction this trail heads east around the north side of Marion Lake.

The trail crosses the cascading waters of Mist Creek and several other streams which have beautiful moss covered rocks and logs in the stream channels. Then the trail heads past Bowerman Lake Trail junction up steeper slopes through heavy ceanothus brush to intersect with the Pacific Crest Trail.

This trail travels through the area of the B & B Fire of 2003. There is heavy tree fall each year on this trail. Use caution in your travels.

General Information

$5/vehicle/day or a valid recreation pass. No payment accepted onsite.

Central Cascades Wilderness Permits are required between June 15 and October 15 for both day and overnight use when entering from Marion Lake trailhead. Check out Recreation.gov for more information or call 1-877-444-6777.
A valid recreation pass may be used as a form of fee payment.

Water from streams should be filtered.

Directions

From Detroit, Oregon travel east on Highway 22 for 16 miles to the town of Marion Forks, Oregon.  Turn left onto Marion Creek Road (Forest Service Road 2255) and travel 5.5 miles to the trailhead at the end of the road.
