Trailhead provides access for:
- Whitewater Trail #3429 which enters Mount Jefferson Wilderness

- Cheat Creek Trail #3441
- Crag Trail #3364
- Pacific Crest Trail #2000
Reservations
General Information
Central Cascades Wilderness Permits are required between June 15 and October 15 for both day and overnight use at this trailhead. Check out Recreation.gov for more information or call 1-877-444-6777.
A valid recreation pass may be used as a form of fee payment.

- $5/vehicle/day or a valid recreation pass.
- Download the Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your trip so you can pay the fee onsite with Scan and Pay.
- No cash or checks accepted on site.
Within developed recreation sites, dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet, or otherwise under physical restrictive control. 36 CFR 261.16(j)

Directions
From Detroit, OR travel southeast on North Santiam Highway for about 10 miles then go left on Forest Road 2243 (Whitewater Road) and travel about 7.5 miles to the trailhead and parking area.
