Lake Winfield Scott Campground

Lake Winfield Scott Recreation Area is a destination recreation location situated high in a mountain valley.  The recreation area offers  year-round recreation opportunities including camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, swimming and hiking centered around the beautiful 18-acre lake.  The campground is divided into a north loop and a south loop.

Current Conditions
Due to bridge replacement work near the entrance of Lake Winfield Scott on Georgia 180 there may be temporary delays and one lane traffic during construction. The construction will not interfere with the operation of the site. Campers with large rigs are encouraged to use the directions coming from Dahlonega.
