Broad River Trail
Located in Stephens County in the Lake Russell WMA near Frady Branch trail system, this trail is excellent for novice hikers and offers a chance to experience first-hand the hard work put forth by past CCC and YCC groups. Be sure to stop and take time to read the plaque at the start of the trail portraying the history of the trail and those who have worked hard to maintain its beauty.

Open year round, but the road leading to trail is typically closed in the Winter until Spring
No drinking water is provided
This is a foot-travel only trail.
Getting There
Directions
From Cornelia: take GA 365 north from Cornelia and take the fork toward Toccoa/Lavonia to stay on GA 365 for 1.5 miles. Turn Rt. on Rock Rd. Then turn Lt. on Dicks Hill Pkwy. Go another 2.4 miles and turn Rt. on Ayersville Rd. travel 1 mile and then turn Lt. on FS 87. Continue another 3 miles and Trail will be on the right.
