Leatherwood Boat Ramp
Leatherwood Boat Ramp is located off of Leatherwood Road on a narrow portion of Cave Run Lake. Fishing is not allowed from the boat ramp, but once you are in the water, you will find a wide variety of fish species. Cave Run Lake is well-known for excellent muskie fishing. Swimming or sunbathing within 100 feet of any boat launch ramp or courtesy boat dock is prohibited for public safety. The boat launch facility includes parking, signage, trash collection, security lighting and a courtesy dock.

This site will become unsafe and/or inaccessible if lake levels rise above 740 feet. Check current lake levels before your visit.

A Daniel Boone National Forest recreation pass (hang tag or sticker) must be displayed inside vehicles parked at the boat ramp. Passes may be purchased from Forest offices or local vendors for $5/day; $7/3 day; $50 annual.

Directions
From I-64, take exit 133 (Farmers Sharkey) and go south on KY 801. Turn right onto US 60. At Salt Lick, turn left onto KY 211. Stay on 211 for several miles until you see Clear Creek Road/Leatherwood Road (Forest Service Road 129) on the left. Continue on 129. Turn right onto 129D to the boat ramp.
