White Sulphur Horse Camp

White Sulphur Horse Camp, located near Cave Run Lake, is a primitive campground for horseback riders. The camp provides access to over 50 miles of multiple-use trails winding along forested hills and limestone ridges. Ideal for individual riders and organized groups, the facilities at the horse camp bring riders into the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest, the Pioneer Weapons Wildlife Management Area, and the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail #100.
The parking area can accommodate up to 30 vehicles with a trailer up to 50 feet long. Picket lines and a watering trough are available for horses. The campground has no electricity.

Single Site: $19 per night Peak Season (March - October)
Single Site: $10 per night Non-Peak Season (November - April)
Day Use:
$6 per vehicle per day Non-Peak Season (November - April)
$7 per vehicle per day Peak Season (March - October)

A fee is required to use this campground. Pay at site using fee envelope. Cash or check only.

Directions

From Salt Lick, take KY 211 south for 4 miles and turn left onto County Road 129 (Clear Creek Road). After approx. 2 miles, turn left onto Forest Service Road 105 (Sulphur Branch Road) and continue for 2.5 miles.

Negative Coggins Test Required. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture requires a negative Coggins or similar test for equine infectious anemia and a valid certificate of veterinary inspection.
