A wayside stop along SR 40, Wildcat Lake shimmers in the middle of the Big Scrub. Launch your boat and head out on the lake for a morning of fishing, nature viewing or just a quiet cruise around the lake.
Boating
- A boat ramp is provided for you to launch and explore the lake, or head out for a day of fishing. Launch your canoe or kayak to explore the far reaches and shallow rim of this shimmering lake in the Big Scrub.
Fishing
- Fish from the shoreline or use the boat launch to head out on the lake in your small craft or kayak. Freshwater fishing is governed by the regulations of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Nature Viewing
- Wildlife is abundant in Wildcat Lake. Be mindful of the alligator population in the lake.
Waterskiing
- Waterskiing is permitted on Wildcat Lake, which is long and thin from north to south.
