Castor Creek Scenic Area
Castor Creek Scenic Area is a boggy hardwood bottomland system that lays on the edge of the boundary for the United States Air Force Bombing Range. The Wild Azalea National Recreation Trail travels straight through the most pronounced portions of this beautiful and diverse ecosystem.

Getting There
Directions
From Alexandria, drive south on Interstate 49, taking Exit 73 to Woodworth. Continue east along Robinson Bridge Road (3265) arriving at traffic light at intersection of Hwy 165 and 3265. Continue straight which is Castor Plunge Road driving through Woodworth. Continue on Castor Plunge Road (or 287) and follow signs for trailhead parking or take advantage of small turnouts along the road.
