Gum Springs Horse Camp
The Gum Springs Equestrian Camp is a very popular destination for cowboys and cowgirls from all over Louisiana and other states such as Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Nebraska. This is a great forest ride and the trail is wide enough to accommodate wagons. There is plenty of parking for pickup trucks with trailers. There is also primitive camping, hitching posts, corral, vault toilet, water, and trash disposal.

Open 24 hours/day
Groups of 75 or more should contact the Winn District Office (ph. 318-628-4664) at least 48 hours prior to riding to obtain a special use permit.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10 per night
Cost is $10 for overnight camping only. Riding on the trail is free.
