Balsam Lake Lodge

Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Nantahala District, Balsam Lake Lodge offers a special getaway for groups who reserve the whole facility for $170 on weekdays to $200 on weekends, per night. The Lodge includes 16 twin beds, a full Kitchen with microwave and utensils, three full bathrooms, and a fishing pier dock. The lodge does not include toiletries, towels, linens, blankets, etc. Please plan accordingly. Guests must clean the lodge after each visit.

Open Seasonally: April 1 - November 30

A maximum of 20 people are permitted per night.

Reservations are available through www.recreation.gov. $170 per night; A $30 fee for each Friday/ Saturday night booked. Minimum stay of 2 nights. Maximum of 5 consecutive nights. Check in is at 4pm and check out is 11:30am. A maximum of 16 people are permitted overnight.   Any changes or cancellations to reservations must be processed through your Recreation.gov account.  Fees may apply.

Directions

From Asheville: Take I-40 west to Exit 27. Go west on U.S. 23/74 to Waynesville and take Exit 102. Take U.S. 276 south and turn right on NC 215 south. Take SR 1756 (Charlie’s Creek Road), which passes the Little Canada Fire Department. Go 5 miles to the Balsam Lake Lodge.

From Sylva or Cashiers: Go south from Sylva or north from Cashiers on NC 107 to Tuckaseegee Post Office. Turn east onto NC 281. Go 9.2 miles to Little Canada. Turn left on SR 1756 (Charlie’s Creek Road). Go 5 miles to the lodge.

From Blue Ridge Parkway: Take NC 215 south for 5 miles to SR 1756 (Charlie’s Creek Road). Go west for 5 miles to the lodge.
