Emily Lake Recreation Area
If you are looking for a base camp to explore area trails or a destination campground with a family friendly atmosphere, try the Emily Lake Recreation Area off Forest Road 142 west of Lac du Flambeau.
The Emily Lake Recreation Area on the Medford-Park Falls Ranger District consists of a campground with 11 campsites equipped with a parking spur, campfire rings with grill, picnic table, vault toilets and drinking water. There are accessible vault toilet facilities at nearby interpretive trail at nearby Round Lake Logging Dam. There is also an accessible fishing pier at nearby Newman Lake.
Day use facilities include a boat ramp with access to the 26 acre Emily Lake, swimming area, paved boat launch, year round fishing with a good panfish population and nearby hiking trails where you can hike, mountain bike and snowshoe in the winter.

There are no reservable sites at Emily Lake Recreation Area. All sites are available on a first-come basis.
General Information
Campground Camping
The rustic Emily Lake Recreation Area sits on the beautiful 26-acre Emily Lake. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring. Garbage and recycling dumpsters are available in the campground for campers only. Most sites are near water with a view of the lake. Most sites are spacious, and some are over 45' long.

RV Camping
Most sites are back-in and not specifically designed for RVs. Hookups and dump stations are not available. Some sites may be uneven for large RVs. Site 9 is drive-through accessible.

The open season typically starts the Thursday before the May fishing opener, which is the first Saturday in May.
24 Hours Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 6 am.

Campsite Capacity
- Maximum of 8 people and 4 vehicles at each camp site.
- Vehicle capacity limit includes vehicles, wheeled camping units and trailers.
Firewood Closure Order
- Our firewood closure order prohibits the possession, storage, or transport of any firewood that originates from more than 25 miles from your campsite. Firewood certified by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Transportation and Consumer Protection can originate from more than 25 miles from National Forest destination.
- Pallet boards are not approved.
Operation of all ATVs & UTVs are prohibited in campground.

Directions
From the intersection of Highways 13 and 70 in Fifield:
- Drive east on Highway 70 22.3 miles to FR 509 (Chippewa Trail).
- Turn left (north) and continue on FR 509 for 3.1 miles to FR 142.
- Turn right (east) on FR 142 and drive 0.2 miles to FR 1178.
- Turn left (north) and continue 0.5 miles to the campground.

Fishing - Lake & Pond Info
Emily Lake has good fishing opportunities. A boat landing is located in the campground. Some lakes have special fishing regulations. Be sure to check regulations for the area you are fishing.
