Perkinstown XC Trail

The Perkinstown Winter Sports Area is known for its all around outdoor fun including the tubing hill that is operated by Taylor County, who also maintains and grooms the c. During the winter, updates on the condition of this trail can be found at the Cross Country Ski Trail Report. The trail is maintained by Taylor County. Trail Lengths: 

  • Grouse Loop - 4.1 Km;
  • Hemlock Loop - 5.1 Km,
  • Beaver Loop - 12.5 Km;
  • Beginner Loop - 0.8 Km;
  • Tower Loop - 3.3 Km.

The scenic trails flow over wooded rolling hills. Ski rental packages are available at the nearby chalet that is owned and operated by Taylor County. Cozy up to the fireplace or satisfy your hunger with food and beverages.

Directions

Perkinstown Trailheads: From the intersection of State Highways 13 and 64 in Medford, drive 16 miles west on Highway 64. Turn right (north) on Forest Road 119 and drive 4.1 miles. The parking lot for the west loops is on the left (west) side of the road. Continue north for 0.3 miles to reach the road for the Chalet.
