Oriole East Trail

This 6.5 mile trail is designated for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. The trail winds through scenic hardwood forests. It connects to the adjacent 7.2 mile Oriole West Trail.

Horses and mountain bike riders (age 17 years and older) are required to have a permit and stay on trails designated for that type of use. Permits are available from our offices and local vendors.

Getting There

Directions

Take I-64 to IN 237/IN 66 west (Exit 86). Go south on IN 66 west four miles to Jeffries Cemetery. Look for a small Hoosier National Forest sign on the right side of the road. Turn left into the parking area next to Jeffries Cemetery. Park there or go across the road at Oriole Pond. Coordinates are: Lat- 38o 11' 6.971"N Long- 86o 29' 22.662"W
