General Information

This is a reoffer of the Orb Salvage Timber Sale; Units have been dropped and some boundaries and timber designations have been changed from the original offering. Main access to this sale will be Rogers Rd and Pearsall Rd. These stands were included in recent red pine thinning treatments and were subsequently damaged by an ice storm. The Mixed Salvage pulpwood product includes all conifer species, primarily red pine. The Regional Forester has approved and waived certain requirements to expedite the preparation and harvest of damaged timber. The HMNF has been authorized the use of comparison cruising and Load Count Scaling, as well as the use of a 2400-6 version of our contract.
