Bear Track Campground

Bear Track got its name many years ago from a bear track found while building the site. A 1.5 mile trail connects the campground to the North Country National Scenic Trail. Fishing is a popular activity for this area.

Special Use Permit - 

  • No special use permit is required for individuals or small groups (74 people or less).
  • Permits are required for commercial, event or large groups (75 people or more).

As a visitor to the National Forest, you are asked to follow certain rules designed to protect the Forest, natural resources and to provide for public safety of visitors. Overnight Use:
Single Site: $30 per night
Walk-In Riverside Site: $40 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night
Day Use:
$10 per vehicle per day

Directions

From Manistee -

  • Travel east on M-55 for 14 miles.
  • Turn right and travel south on E. Udell Hills Rd. for 5.5 miles.
  • Turn left and travel south on Skocelas Rd. for .5 miles.
  • Turn left and travel east on Little River Rd.. for 4 miles.
  • Turn left and travel north on FR 5202 into the site.
