O'Brien Lake Access
O'Brien Lake is a 10-acre cool-water lake that is open to fishing. Camping can be found at Buttercup Campground and Alcona Pond. Boating access is by carry-in only.

Special Use Permit -
- No special use permit is required for individuals or small groups (74 people or less).
- Permits are required for commercial, event or large groups (75 people or more).

From Grayling -
- Travel east on M-72 for 30 miles.
- Turn left and travel north on M-72/M-33 for .5 miles.
- Turn right and travel east onto McKinley Dr./F32.
- Turn right and travel south on E. River Dr. for <.1 miles.
- Turn left and travel east on Reed. Rd/FR4836.
- The road will branch into FR 4836 and FR 4061.
- Take left fork/FR 4061 for 1.5 miles.
- The road terminates at the site.
