Oberg Mountain Trail
Oberg Mountain is a 3 mile moderate hike. High overlooks along Oberg give wonderful views of Lake Superior, Oberg Lake and Moose Mountain. Steep cliffs are at the top; use caution with small children.
This trail is a spur trail off of the Superior Hiking Trail.
Getting There
Parking
- The parking area is also for LeVeaux Mountain Trail.
- Parking lot on the left hand side of Forest Road 336.
Directions
From Tofte,
- take Highway 61 North approximately 4 1/2 miles.
- Turn left onto Forest Road 336 (Onion River Road)
- Proceed up the Onion River Road for about 2 miles to the parking area on the left.
