Fire regimes of saltbush desert scrub communities

A complete Fire Regime Synthesis for saltbush desert scrub communities has not yet been published in the Fire Effects Information System. However, information is available from LANDFIRE succession modeling of saltbush desert scrub Biophysical Settings (BpS). Table 1 summarizes LANDFIRE data for saltbush desert scrub BpSs. Figure 1 shows where they occur. Appendix A lists the saltbush desert scrub BpSs and provides results of LANDFIRE succession modeling and links to descriptions for each BpS.

Table 1. Range of modeled historical mean fire intervals and percentage of historical fires in each of three fire severity classes for saltbush desert scrub Biophysical Settings (BpS), and the number of these BpS in each fire regime group [2]. See Appendix A for details specific to each BpS.
