The report "Road Maintenance
with Threatened, Endangered, or
Sensitive Plants: Finding Solutions" (0677–1807P–SDTDC)
provides an overview of the process public
agencies must follow to comply
with the laws and policies for road
maintenance in areas with threatened,
endangered, or sensitive plants. The
report includes a brief overview
of the process and explores the
directives, laws, misconceptions,
and apparent conflicts that may
arise when implementing road
maintenance activities that may
affect listed plant species. This report
will be particularly useful to road
managers and botanists when they are
developing road maintenance work
plans.
