Remote monitoring allows
facility managers to monitor
and control some systems at remote
locations. "Remote Monitoring
and Control Feasibility" (0771–1809P–SDTDC) provides a decision
tool to evaluate the feasibility of
remotely monitoring wastewater
systems, but it could be used to
evaluate the feasibility of remotely
monitoring other systems such as
water treatment plants, wells, and
pumps. The report also explains
how to plan and budget for remote
monitoring control systems.
