  • Cowlitz Economic Development Council

    The Cowlitz Economic Development Council (CEDC) works collaboratively with the forest to enhance economic opportunities in areas surrounding Mount St. Helens.  These Gateway Communities provide vital services to visitors, with tourism and recreation representing an important part of rural economies.  Through a partnership agreement, the CEDC helps develop capacity and act on opportunities.

  • Mount St. Helens Insitute

    Mount St. Helens Institute is a non-profit organization focused on promoting stewardship of the Earth through science, education, and exploration of volcanic landscapes. They connect people of all ages to Mount St. Helens and the natural world through educational and outdoor programing.  MSHI volunteers clock thousands of hours every year assisting hundreds of thousands of visitors, supporting educational programs and working on trails and streams.  Find out how you can help tell the story of the youngest and most active volcano in the Pacfic Northwest.
