Working Together
Managing a national forest as rugged and vast as the Salmon-Challis National Forest requires the efforts of not only dedicated employees, but a great many partners and volunteers who contribute greatly to the successful management of forest resources.
Our partners and volunteers help maintain campgrounds and trails, reduce hazardous fuels, restore watersheds, monitor wildlife populations, improve wildlife and fisheries habitat, restore historic facilities, and respond to emergency incidents, to name just a few activities.
Our partners include a number of federal agencies, tribes, State of Idaho, conservation organizations, youth corps, universities, public entities and private citizens.
Because of investments made through the Great American Outdoors Act and Secure Rural Schools, the Salmon-Challis National Forest is more positioned than ever to invite partners, volunteers, and citizens to help us design and implement projects that steward our natural resources and provide unforgettable visitor experiences.
