Bighorn Crags Campground
14 campsites with picnic tables and fire grates near the main trailhead for the Bighorn Crags in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Separate area for horse camping with corrals and water troughs. Campground has piped drinking water, vault toilets but no garbage collection services on site. This is an area of rugged mountains, lakes, and hoodoos. Trails climb up into a highly popular region of the wilderness, winding past numerous lakes and fascinating geologic formations.

The following passes are good for 50% reduction in camping fees: SENIOR PASS – Available for $10.00 to US Citizens 62 years and older. Must be purchased in person with proof of age such as driver’s license. ACCESS PASS – Available FREE of charge to US citizens that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities. Must be maintained in person with written proof of disability.
$4 per night for single unit is charged for overnight use of this site.

Directions
From North Fork, go 24 miles west on The Salmon river road (Forest Road 030), turn left at the confluence with Panther creek and travel approximately 28 miles south on FR 055. Turn at Forney townsite and travel approximately 22 miles northwest on Forest Roads 112 and 113. The route to the campground is on rough, steep dirt roads, and should be negotiated with care. Not recommended for RVs or cars with trailers. Check for travel conditions before you leave.
