Wallace Lake Campground

12 campsites on Wallace Lake with picnic tables and fire rings. Within the campground are vault toilets and drinking water. Fishing in the lake. Primitive boat launch can be used for non-motorized canoes or rowboats on the lake. The drive on Salmon River Mountain Road offers fantastic views of the Salmon River Range and of deep pine forests.

The following passes are good for 50% reduction in camping fees: SENIOR PASS – Available for $10.00 to US Citizens 62 years and older.  Must be purchased in person with proof of age such as driver’s license. ACCESS PASS – Available FREE of charge to US citizens that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities.  Must be maintained in person with written proof of disability. 

$4.00 per night fee is charged for overnight use at this site.

Directions

From Salmon, go 3 miles north on US 93, 14 miles northwest on Forest Road 023, and 4 miles south on FR 020. The forest roads are unpaved and rough. FR 020 is not recommended for RVs or cars pulling trailers. Check for road conditions before traveling into the forest.
