Dog Slaughter Falls Trail Closure, Bridge Removed

Extensive storm damage remains on a portion of the Dog Slaughter Falls Trail. Currently, the trail is closed between the two trailheads. The lower trailhead and parking area closest to the falls, remains open for use and is passable to the falls. Please note that the bridge at the lower trailhead has been removed for the safety of our visitors, following irreparable damage from fallen trees. Access to the trail requires crossing the creek. Be weather aware, as the creek can rise quickly during rain events, causing unsafe conditions.

FSR 88/Devil's Creek Road and FSR 195/Dog Slaughter Road have been cleared of debris and are open to travel. Due to impacts associated with the recent storms, be aware of hazard trees as wind and soil conditions may cause more to fall.
