Entering or being part of a group of more than ten people and/or possessing or using a wagon, cart, bicycle or other vehicle are prohibited in Clifty Wilderness and Beaver Creek Wilderness.

Pursuant to the provisions of 16 U.S.C., Section 551, and Title 36 C.F.R. Parts 261 as listed below, to provide for visitor safety, I am prohibiting the following acts:
Location: The portions of National Forest System lands containing Clifty Wilderness of the Cumberland Ranger District and Beaver Creek Wilderness on the Stearns Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest. The area is further described in the two attached maps.
Effective Date: This Closure Order is in effect February 24, 2015 and continues until rescinded.
Prohibited Acts:
- Entering or being in a designated Wilderness as part of a group of more than ten (10) people (36 CFR 261.58(f));
- Possessing or using a wagon, cart, bicycle or other vehicle (36 CFR 261.57(h)).
Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
- Any Federal, State or Local Officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force engaged in the performance of an official duty;
- Any authorized person engaged in official administrative duties regarding National Forest Administration;
- Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

Violations of the above prohibition set forth are punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual and $10,000 for an organization or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months or both. See 16 U.S.C. 551, 18 U.S.C. 3559 and 3571.
