The Redbird Ranger District manages the Redbird Purchase, a stand alone unit located in eastern Kentucky. The district covers 145,850 acres and spans six counties: Clay, Leslie, Owsley, Perry, Harlan and Knox. This district is noted for the Redbird Crest Trail which provides over 100 miles of trail for off-highway vehicle use.
