Mill Creek Wildlife Management Area

Mill Creek Wildlife Management Area is cooperatively managed with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to promote and sustain native wildlife populations. The 13,009-acre area is mostly wooded with nearly 30 acres maintained as wildlife openings. The terrain is mostly hilly with steep slopes and long, narrow ridges. Some flat areas occur in the bottoms and on the tops of ridges. The area has no developed facilities.

Mill Creek is located in Jackson County, just two miles south of McKee, KY.

General Information

  • Daniel Boone National Forest visitors must abide by all Kentucky hunting, trapping and fishing regulations. Learn more about regulations for using Public Hunting Areas.
  • Management area boundaries are marked with signs and yellow paint on trees. Private land boundaries are marked with property boundary signs and red paint on trees.
