PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF 16 U.S.C., SECTION 551 AND 36 C.F.R. 261.50(a) AND (b), IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT THE FOLLOWING ACTS ARE PROHIBITED ON THE AREA DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDER AS, CADDO POND NATURE TRAIL AREA  WITHIN THE OUACHITA NATIONAL FOREST. 

 

THE FOLLOWING PROHIBITED ACTS ARE SET FORTH IN 36 CFR 261.58: 

261.58(e)   Camping  

261.58(k)   Swimming.  (Wading or fishing from a float tube is permitted) 

261.58(m)  Discharging a firearm, air rifle, or gas gun 

261.58(n)   Possessing or operating a gasoline powered boat motor   

261.58(s)   Possessing fish in violation of posted limits and restrictions    

261.58(u)   Being in the area between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. 

261.58(v)   Hunting 

251.58(v) Fishing by means of Trotlines, jugs, and yo-yo's  

261.58(aa) Riding, hitching, tethering or hobbling a horse or other saddle or pack animal in violation of posted instructions 

 

PURSUANT TO 36 CFR, SECTION 261.50(e), THE FOLLOWING PERSONS ARE EXEMPT FROM THIS ORDER: 

(1) Persons with a permit specifically authorizing otherwise prohibited act or omission. 

(2) Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty. 

 

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions 36 CFR part 261, Subpart A.
