Ingalls - Mt. Conner Trail #171

The Ingalls - Mt. Conner Trail is 12.2 miles long. It begins at Star Meadow Cabin and ends at Kootenai Divide at Jct Trail #172. The segment of trail from the cabin to FS Rd #538 is non motorized, the remainder of the trail is open for both non motorized and motorized use. Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and motorcycle riding are allowed.

General Information

Directions: Trail 171 has several access points. From Whitefish, take Hwy 93 west go 10 miles, turn on Farm-to-Market Rd go 1.5 miles, turn onto the Star Meadow Road and go about 17 miles to the junction of FS Rd #538. One trailhead is located 2 miles up FS Rd #538. The other access is at the Star Meadow Cabin and the third access is near Sylvia Lake on FS Rd #538B .
