South Slope Loop

South Slope Loop includes 27 individual sites. The loop contains centralized water, flush toilets, hot showers, and a recharge table for electric boat motors. A selection of single or extra large sites are available in this shady campground.

Directions:Located 3 miles south of Interstate 64 off State Highway 37. Turn at the large entrance sign. A gatehouse sits just off State Road 37 at the entrance of the recreation area. GPS Coordinates: Lat - 38 degrees 11' 56.664"N, Long - 86 degrees 35' 53.951"W

This is one of two shady campground loops in the Indian-Celina Lake Recreation Area. It includes 27 sites for tents or RVs. All of these sites are electric. This loop is open from 4/15-10/15. A maximum of 2 vehicles and 8 people are allowed on a single site. The loop has two double sites which allow a maximum of 4 people and 16 people.

During the spring and summer seasons, visitors are encouraged to attend our interpretive programs. Programs are offered at the amphitheater near the Rickenbaugh House or in some cases a few programs may be held at other locations.
