Land & Resources Management

The mission of the Forest Service is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the nation’s forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations. On the Salmon-Challis, that means administering nearly 4.4 million acres, including the 1.3 million acres of the Frank Church – River of No Return Wilderness Area. This section includes information about forest planning, current projects, resource management, available geospatial data, and fire management.
