Simplex Heli-torches are utilized worldwide for aerial ignition of forest slash, backfires, understory burning, habitat improvement and oil spills. The Heli-torch will operate under any undedicated helicopter with a cargo hook and 28 VDC power. The Heli-torch will burn up to 200 acres per hour at a fuel consumption rate of 1.5 to 3 U.S. gallons. The propane ignition system supplies reliable, uniform ignition to produce a consistant stream of fire. Model 5400 Heli-torch include two 30-gallon, or two 55-gallon drums and single point suspension as standard equipment.
