Trouble Shooting
Heli-Torch Trouble Shooting

STORAGE
- Clean and purge all lines to be free of gelled fuel. Flush
out plumbing, pum and hoses.
- Clean the torch frame, tank and connecting
assemblies so that they are
free of residual gelled fuel, dirt or other contaminants.
- Check that
all wires, nuts, bolts and screw wire connectors are tight and
secure. Sotre all components in a dry area and cover.
- Coil lifting
cables and electrical bundle connections. Store with torch
frame assembly and stabilizer.

SPECIFICATIONS
- 90 amps
- 27.5 volts DC
- 400 RPM
- Double commutator
- Intermittent duty
Simplex Motor Model 109000 are permanent
magnet field direct current
motors.
CONNECTIONS—Connect DC voltage to ¼" studs. See connection
diagram in Figure #1.

REVERSAL—Standard rotation is ccw looking at shaft.
To reverse motor direction, reverse the polarity on the motor terminals.
NAMEPLATE RATING—Consult nameplate for rating and
part number. Values are for full load conditions. Do not use motor
for prolonged periods at line currents greater than amperes given on
nameplate.
TEMPERATURE LIMITATION—If the motor is totally enclosed,
maximum safe operating temperature is 195°F as measured at key of
rear end bell. If motor is open drip-proof, maximum is 160°F. Insulation
is class H (180°C).
OVERLAOD PROTECTION—Since most circuit breakers carry
115% of rating, motor should be provided with a circuit breaker set
at 90 to 100 percent rated nameplate current.
