
The first passive security feature is the frontliner’s field of view: the ability to see visitors as they approach the building. With a good field of view, frontliners can see whether or not visitors are potentially dangerous before they enter.
Poplar Bluff Ranger District. This office has a blocked field of view and is being redesigned to enhance security.
Eleven Point Ranger District. This office has a clear field of view for the frontliner.
If the field of view is blocked, a frontliner cannot react to a situation until visitors are already in the building.
