This image illustrates the floor plan to be used when storing corrosive products outdoors and describes the requirements to be used for storage. These requirements are described as follows:
- No more than 5,000 pounds of solid and 500 gallons of liquid corrosive
products per control area.
- Control areas no closer than 20 feet to an alley, gravel road,
street, or highway.
- Recommend control areas no closer than 20 feet to a structure (inhabited
or uninhabited).
- Control areas no closer than 20 feet to a property line.
- Remove weeds
and combustibles
within 15 feet of
each control
area.
- If the property is larger than 10,000 square feet, a maximum of two control areas are permitted if they are separated by 50 feet; if the property is larger than 35,000 square feet, additional control areas are permitted if they are separated by more than 300 feet.
