Pursuant to Title 16 U.S.C. § 551 and Title 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (b), the following act is prohibited on those roads located on a portion of National Forest System lands within the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the Pike National Forest, hereinafter referred to as the Restricted Roads. This order is necessary for public safety and resource protection.
The Restricted Roads are located in T. 12 S., R. 70 W., Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26, 6th Principal Meridian, Teller County, Colorado, and are identified as National Forest System Roads (NFSR) 375, 375A and 375B.
The Restricted Roads are shown on the attached map which is hereby incorporated into this order as Exhibit A.
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. 261.50(b), the following act is prohibited on the described National Forest System Roads located on the Salida Ranger District of the San Isabel National Forest in Chaffee County, Colorado: NFSR 307 (“Trout Creek” / “The Castles”), and NFSR 309 (south “Chubb Park”) also known as the “Restricted Roads
Pursuant to Title 16 United States Code Section 551 and 36 CFR Section 261.50(a), the following act is prohibited on Natinal Forest System lands within the Leadville Ranger District of the San Isabel National Forest located in T. 11 S., R. 81 W., Section 26, 6th Principle Meridian, Lake County Colorado. The Resttricted Area is defined as the "Dump Wall" and is depicted on the attched map, hereby incorporated into this order as Exhibit A.
The Lake Park Trail (FDT 639) in the southwest portion of the Lost Creek Wilderness Area experienced a significant wind event this past fall and winter. As a result, sections of the trail are obscured by large trees and root wads, making it difficult to follow. Travel through this area is not advised and may be impassable for stock users.
A detour to avoid the area is recommended. It is possible to utilize the Hankins Trail (FDT 630) and Brookside McCurdy Trail (FDT 607) to avoid the Lake Park Trail (FDT 639). This recommended detour is a similar distance, but adds elevation gain/loss. See map for the blow down area at trail.
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50(a) the following acts are prohibited on the San Isabel National Forest for the protection of a peregrine falcon nesting site adjacent to National Forest System Trail (NFST) 1333, East Bear Gulch Trail, hereinafter referred to as the Restricted Area, as depicted on the map attached as Exhibit A hereby incorporated into this order. The East Bear Gulch Trail will remain open to all uses during this area closure.

Pursuant to Title 16 U.S.C., Section 551, and Title 36, Code of Federal Regulations (“C.F.R.”), Section 261.50 (a), the following acts are prohibited on National Forest System lands, roads and trails within the South Platte Ranger District of the Pike National Forest, Jefferson County, Colorado, hereinafter referred to as the Restricted Area. The Restricted Area is shown on the attached map hereby incorporated into this order as Exhibit A. The purpose of this order is for the protection of natural resources and to provide for public safety.
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. 551 and 36 CFR 261.50(b), the following act is prohibited on the National Forest System Road described as the "Restricted Road" below and located on the Salida Ranger District of the San Isabel National Forest in Chaffee County, Colorado.
Cottonwood Pass (Chaffee County Road 306) has been closed due to heavy snow but Chaffee County road crews hope to have the pass open sometime Saturday, June 4th. The pass normally opens for the Memorial Day weekend.
