Pre-decisional Administrative Review Process (Objection Process)

The Idaho Panhandle National Forests are using a Pre-decisional Administrative Review Process, also known as an “Objection Process.” The Objection Filing Period for the revised plan began September 28 (the day after notice was published in the Coeur d’Alene Press newspaper of record) and ended November 26, 2013. This timeframe cannot be extended. Only those members of the public who provided substantive comments during public comment periods on the plan revision were eligible to file an objection.

The Objection Process also provides an opportunity for members of the public to file a request to be an “Interested Person” for any objection received. The request must be submitted within ten days of the publication of the Notice of Objection (the notice is published in the Coeur d’Alene Press and Missoulian on December 6, 2013). Status as an “Interested Person” allows an individual to participate during any objection resolution meeting involving the Responsible Official, Reviewing Officer and Objector(s). For a complete list of objections received, and more information on becoming an Interested Person, please see the “IPNF Revised Forest Plan - Objections Received” web page.
