Visitor Maps and Guides
White River National Forest Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUMs) illustrate motor vehicle route and area designations as defined in our Travel Management Plan so visitors can determine where and when they may travel in a motor vehicle. It is your responsibility to know and follow these designations.
MVUMs are available for download or printing below, or you may pick up free copies at your nearest ranger district office.
Avenza - Free Mobile App for Map Use

Avenza free mobile app allows visitors to download maps, including some forest Motor Vehicle Use Maps onto their mobile device. Visit the Rocky Mountain Regional Avenza page to search for maps in the area.

Motor Vehicle Use Maps show national forest system roads & trails that are open to motorized travel. Routes designated for motorized use may not always be signed on the ground but will be identified on the MVUM. Ensure you are using the correct map for the time of year.

Mountain Biking Maps
Biking is allowed only on designated trails and roads. Off-road/trail travel is prohibited. Roads & trails are closed to bicycles Nov. 23 – May 20 annually. See the below attachments to plan your biking adventure!

Forest Service Digital Maps cover all lands administered by the Forest Service. There are available at a variety of scales. Maps are free as a digital download.
