Flowing Springs
This day use area offers many pastoral scenes and interesting rock formations. It is situated along the banks of the East Verde River, where trout fishing is a favorite pastime.
General Information
- Day Use Only. No Overnight Camping Allowed.
- Pack it in, Pack it out
- In the winter the temperature dips down into the teens
- Use caution during the rainy season. This area, like all Arizona creek areas, is prone to flash flooding.

Directions
This site is 3 ½ miles north of Payson. From Payson, go north on State Hwy. 87. Near mile marker 257 just south of the East Verde River, turn right (east) on Forest Road (FR) 272. Continue traveling on FR 272 for ½ mile to the site. Map.
