Mahogany Cove Campground
Overview
The Mahogany Cove Campground is located in a grassy meadow along the Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway (Hwy-153), just 12 miles from Beaver, Utah. At 7,200 feet elevation this area is popular for visitors to enjoy hiking, mountain biking and fishing in the nearby Beaver River.
Facilities
The campground consists of one large group site, which is made up of seven individual sites that can accommodate a total of 150 people and 20 vehicles. Reservations for the group site are posted at the campground in advance. If the entire site is not reserved, individual sites can be used on a first-come-first-served basis. The first site has several picnic tables, a large grill and campfire ring. The other six sites each contain one picnic table, fire ring and grill. Vault toilet bathrooms and drinking water are available. Roads and parking areas within the campground are gravel and a large meadow is located just inside the entrance.
Natural Features
Stands of mahogany, pinion, juniper and ponderosa pine trees provide partial shade. The campground offers an overlook just outside the campground displaying beautiful views of Beaver Canyon.
Recreation
Fishing for rainbow and brook trout is popular on the Beaver River, which is just a short drive down the canyon below the campground. Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway curves past the campground, offering 17 miles of scenic driving through the beautiful Tushar Mountains. Numerous lakes and streams provide fishing, boating and canoeing opportunities.

Reservations
Make Reservations Here- The campground consists of one large group site, and six individual sites. The group site can be reserved online in advance by visiting the link shown above.
- The six individual campsites are available on a first-come-first-served basis. FCFS sites are not available to reserve in advance online or by phone. Visitors must physically arrive at the campground to see if a site is available. There is no guarantee these sites will be available to purchase upon arrival.
General Information
Hwy-153 wraps around three sides of the campground; please exercise caution with children and pets.

Passes
America the Beautiful Passes (Senior, Access, and Military) are honored at Campgrounds managed by High Country Recreation on the Fishlake National Forest and offer a 50% discount on most single sites. Some restrictions apply. Federal Recreation Passes can be purchased at any ranger district office or at Recreational Passes | USGS Store.
- Pass must be valid. No expired passes will be accepted.
- Must present card to campground host for first-come-first-serve sites.
- Card information may be added at checkout for valid sites when making reservations through Recreation.gov.
Restrictions
- OHVs are not allowed to operate in the campground and must remain on trailers for transport to OHV trailheads.
- Dogs must be on a leash.
- Fireworks are prohibited on all National Forest lands.
- 16-day camping limit
Fees are subject to change annually. Current rates can be found on Recreation.Gov. Please visit Mahogany Cove Campground for specific site pricing and availability. Fees are also posted within the campground and can be found on the kiosk next to the pay tube.
- If campsites have not already been reserved and paid for online, fees for first-come-first-served sites need to be paid within 30 minutes of arrival.
Fees for FCFS sites can be deposited in the pay tube located next to the kiosk.

- Pets must be leashed at all times within this recreation area. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and to protect wildlife.
- Clean up dog waste and dispose of it properly.
- Keep dogs from chasing, harassing, and disturbing wildlife, livestock or other visitors.

Directions
The Mahogany Cove Campground is located 11 miles east of Beaver, Utah. Travel east on paved Hwy-153 (200 North) for approximately 11 miles. The campground is adjacent to UT-153 on the right (north) side of the road.
Parking
Gravel parking areas are available within the campground. *Any vehicles or trailers that can't fit in the designated site must be relocated to another site purchased at full site price.
