Mt. Rose Campground

Mt. Rose Campground is located at an elevation of 9,300 feet in an open conifer forest overlooking beautiful Lake Tahoe, just 9 miles west. Popular activities include fishing, swimming, boating, and sightseeing. Hiking is also available on several area trails including Tahoe Meadows Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, and Mt. Rose Summit Trail.

General Information

  • This campground contains single and double-family sites, as well as one triple-family site. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided.
  • Roads and parking spurs throughout the site are paved.

June - September, as weather and conditions allow. 

Open 24 hours/day

  • Dogs must be on a leash at campground.  

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $22 per night
Double Site: $40 per night
Triple Site: $50 per night

Per night: $32 single/$50 double/$55 triple

Directions

From Highway 395:

1. Take Mt. Rose Highway 431 west approximately 17 miles.

2. The campground is located on left-hand side of the highway.

From Highway 28 just outside Incline Village, Nevada:

1. Turn east on Mt. Rose Highway 431.

2. Travel uphill five miles east to the Mt. Rose Campground entrance on the right-hand side of the highway.
