Moab Ranger District and Office

The Manti-La Sal National Forest offers five Ranger Districts (RD) across the forest: Ferron/Price, Sanpete, Moab, Monticello, and the Supervisor's Office (SO). The Moab Ranger District Office is located in the heart of Moab, Utah and supports the Manti-La Sal National Forest's Moab Ranger District which is located East of Moab. This portion of the forest boasts access to the La Sal Mountains, world-class mountain biking, climbing, hiking, winter sports, and more.

Districts vary in size and most of the US Forest Service boots on-the-ground activities occur on the ranger districts, including trail construction and maintenance, operation of campgrounds, and management of vegetation and wildlife habitat. For information regarding specific recreational areas, it can be quickest to contact the ranger district office associated with the area of interest, however, any ranger district on the forest will be able to assist you with finding information.
