Johnsondale Bridge River Access Boating Site

This site can be utilized for white water boating access, picnicking, and hiking. At about 19 miles north of Kernville via Mountain Highway 99, this site offers a great river hiking trail and boating access. The Kern River Trail (33E30) offers a great day hike with seasonal fishing access.

Reservations

General Information

Open all year around. 

No camping; Day use between sunrise and sunset daily; Boat launch

Campfire permits are required for campfires, barbeques, and camp stoves. Permits are available at your local Ranger Station or online at preventwildfireca.org

Fishing licenses are required for all persons fishing; age 16 and over. All year, 2 trout limit, 2 trout in possession. Artificial lures only. 

Depending on fire restrictions and fire danger, campfires may be prohibited.

 

No fees are required for this site
