Barker Pass Pacific Crest Trailhead

This trailhead provides access to the Pacific Crest Trail. Heading north, the trail enters Granite Chief Wilderness and intersects the Western States Trail. Heading south, the trail enters Desolation Wilderness. This section of teh PCT coincides with the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Directions

From Tahoe City, take Highway 89 south four miles to Blackwood Canyon Road and turn west. This is the same turn off for Kaspian Campground. Continue up Blackwood Canyon on Barker Pass Road for about 7.5 miles. The Barker Pass PCT Trailhead is on the right approximately 0.1 mile after pavement ends.
